Yes, the vitamin C tablet is what's doing it ! l/2 tab 3 x a day is far too much. And who said your cat needs C ?

My vet . He had a blockage of crystals and would not eat the food he needed to dissolve the crystals that's what the vit c does.. he has been on vit c for 2 weeks and is suppose to be on for 1 more. That's why I was wondering if it was just the seafood flavor of the brand of food I gave him

Please ask (and answer! ) questions like this in the pets and animal section under Home and Garden. That is a MUCH better place to ask this sort of question.

Hi foster67, I guess the jury is out on vit. C for cats. Apparently cats and dogs produce enough vit. C within their own bodies, but as you know, or have read, when we take vitamins our body adjusts to too many by eliminating what isn't needed. I am thinking this is the way a cats body would eliminate too much vit. c.

The blockage of crystals could not be in his intestines, but in his urinary tract.

What does your cat normally eat during the day ?
