    A manuscript is a piece of writing (typed or hand-written) that is to be sent to a publisher for printing.

    The above is true!

    But, manuscript can also be any document that is written by hand, as opposed to being printed or reproduced in some other way.

    It would be helpful to have some additional information from kinyatravis as to why the question is being asked in order to provide the best answers here.
