Work harassment
It is considered harassment if you just don't talk to someone? If they are saying they are uncomfortable working with me because they feel like I don't like them is that a issue?

No, that's not harassment.
Please tell us more. Why does that person feel uncomfortable with you? How many people work with you? Is there something about that person that annoys you, so you don't want to talk? Is it important to your jobs that the two of you communicate?

I work with about 17 people in this particular department. This person feel uncomfortable, he says, because he feels like I don't like him. I get annoyed with him because he is always making up lame excuses of why he needs to go home early when he has a different reason every day. He has told plenty of us that he needs to quit making up excuses to leave early. Recently he went to our manager and said the reason he always wants to leave early is because he feels like I don't like him. I feel like it is important to be able to communicate with everyone I work with but now I am just mad cause he threw me under the bus because he could'nt think of a better excuse. I now feel like I have to kiss his butt because he could take this further... I don't think that it is in our hand book that you must like everyone you work with. If I had another manager that took this higher I feel like I could be in trouble. I have never said anything rude to the guy I just don't really talk to him about anything out of work.

Is there some way to talk to him about using you for an excuse, like "Please don't use me as an excuse!!"?

I have been asked about Internet harassment. I have no idea how to go about determining the origin of the e-mails. These are pretty bad and I am told the new Federal Law is in a big mess - too many claims, too few people, etc. I believe this rises to the level of criminal activity. Police have...
