    My periods are just brown what is wrong?
    I'm 35 and had 3 children. My last 3 periods have been brown. Is there something wrong?

    That's the same for me and they've been pretty light too. No cramps either. I'm only 22 with no kids so I would LOVE for someone to answer.

    Brown is old blood.

    I suggest calling your doctor if it's the only "period" you've had for a few months. Old blood is usually discharged just after a normal period ends.

    It doesn't necessarily mean something is wrong, discharge like this is very common, but better safe than sorry.
