    Period symptoms, but no bleeding?
If you have read any of my prior posts, you know:

I have never been able to have periods on my own, went on birth control as a teenager to force periods (worked like magic). I stopped birth control in March 2008 at age 24. I had a 17-day long period at the end of November 2008. This is the ONLY period I've gotten on my own since stopping birth control almost a year ago. My Husband and I have been having unprotected sex since I stopped the pill and we still have yet to get pregnant. I cannot calculate my fertile days since I do not have periods.

Okay now that you know the background info... lol

It seems like almost monthly I do get semi-period-like symptoms, but I never actually bleed. Like right now, my lower back is hurting like crazy and I'm extremely moody, like when I had PMS. And these symptoms have popped up here and there during the last year since I stopped the pill. I get all excited thinking I'll have a period, or that I'm pregnant, and nothing. =(

I am going to the gyno next month. In December I had a vaginal ultrasound. My doc said she saw some small cysts but nothing out of the ordinary and I actually looked very good. She said "if you do not have a period, or come up pregnant, in 3 months come back and see me again." well as of now I still haven't had another period and I'm still not pregnant. And my doctor has such an attitude. Like she doesn't care and she just wants to push me out the door, she won't take the time to sit and talk with me. I know she's busy but I essentially "bought" time to see her and she treats me like I am a nuisance! Which is why I'm asking you all for your thoughts. Do you think I'm infertile?

I am wondering, is my body actually ovulating? How could I have other PMS symptoms, but no actual period? Is my body TRYING to ovulate? Why can't I get pregnant?

If it matters, I have been taking Levothyroxine for my thyroid issue for the past few months as well.

***Omg how creepy is this? I was just about to press "submit new question" and my OBGYN office called with their automated its-time-to-set-up-your-next-appt message! LOL***

Today my period symptoms are a little stronger: lower backache, achy around kidney areas on both sides, my lips down there feel swollen and achy, and I feel kind of nauseous (Did I spell that right?), and I'm a bit on-edge.

All this and I still am not bleeding! I am so hoping my body is starting to try to regulate itself, or that I am pregnant, either would be such a blessing! I highly doubt I am pregnant though, since I haven't been having periods which I think means I don't ovulate... And I also took a first response early detection pregnancy test with first morning urine yesterday and it said negative.

I have been taking a daily women's multivitamin for about 2 weeks now as well, to make sure I am getting all the proper vitamins and folic acid as well.

    *sigh*

Hi there, my cousin had thyroid problem in the past too and she was taking medication for it, and in the same time she was trying to get pregnant but it took her a year till she got pregnant with her baby boy now, and her Dr told her that is normal when you have a thyroid issues and when she is in medication it delay pregnancy for a bite, but that doesn't mean that she can't get pregnant it just take some time and at the end she got the baby boy she dreamed of, So I hope you have a good luck too :)

Also why go to a Dr that never gives you the time and respect, you should find a better one to give you there time and make you feel comfortable when they speaks to you and gives you more confidence and hope in things.

Sorry if my English isn't so correct I am from a foreign country, I speak and understand English pretty well but my spelling isn't so correct sometimes :)

Hope if I helped you some, Have a good luck :)
