More Clomid questions
Hi all (again!)
I am back with some Clomid questions.
I had my first round last month, and obviously it didn't work, as I have my period 26!! Days later!
Usually my cycle was every couple months or so, and I am just wondering that if by being on Clomid, this is what made it super regular? This is the first time ever (apart from when I was on the pill) that my period was this regular!
Any thoughts are welcome.

Here is the way I understand it: (I'm positive that someone will correct me if I'm wrong) :)
Clomid forces your body to ovulate. Your period comes exactly 14 days after you have ovulated. So after taking Clomid you ovulated on day 12 of your cycle.
When you're not taking Clomid and your periods are irregular and your hormones are out of whack then it can take any amount of time for your body to ovulate. In some cases it can take 2 weeks. In other cases it can take 4 weeks, 6 weeks, or 6 months. The ovary pushes out the egg whenever it gets enough of the proper hormone signal. And whenever you ovulate, you get your period 14 days later.
When you take the pill you are taking specific amounts of hormones, so your ovaries are getting the proper hormone signals at the proper times and thus your periods are regular.
So in your case it looks like the Clomid did what it was supposed to do (made you ovulate). It DID work. Unfortunately you weren't able to conceive this time. But don't give up! If you're getting your period then you're ovulating.
Start having sex on day 8 of your cycle and then have it every OTHER day until at least day 18 or 20.
Good luck!

Thank you so much for your response. I was thiking that it probably worked as I got my period so soon afterwards!
My periods are normally so heavy heavy heavy, because I only get it every couple months or so. I would have thought the flow would ease off a bit, getting my period 26 days later, but its still really heavy. Can't be away from a bathroom for more than an hour!!
Will keep you in the loop for how the next try works!

Hi Angel
Good luck!! Let me know how it goes!
I just finished my 5th tablet (day 9) of the second cycle of clomid. Sex so far on day 8.
It would be lovely if it worked this time too, but never mind if it doesn't, there's always next month!

Hi Angel
I hope it works this time for you too. Day 12 here for me. Weird counting days. I always just thought it would happen!
I am 28, so I guess there's no big rush for me, but it is kind of disappointing when you try and no result (kind of like you failed in a way).
Keep in contact hey!
