How many days after C-section delivery menses should be regular
    Details are below:

    Age:28
    C-Section Delivery: 8th Feb. 2010
Bleeding after delivery other than the normal bleeding during previous 6 weeks: 6th April, 8th April, 12th April, 24 or 26th April. No bleeding after that.

Note: It was bleeding and not like regular menses. Too much felling of tiredness, weakness & nervousness after that. Also sometimes pain in the abdomen after which also weakness/tiredness feels.

History: it is first delivery. Before conception menses remained regular(28days cycle), and abnormality never occurred.

Please advise accordingly, and also tell me whether second delivery can be vaginal if some precautions are to be taken

    Thank u

Hi, I'd say take it easy. Vaginal bleeding is pretty much unavoidable after birth. After my c-section I bled for about 3 weeks. The after that it was light spotting. It took me about a year to get my period back to normal.

You have to realize that your body just went through this wild crazy phase of hormones during pregnancy and now it's going to try to go "back to normal". You could try taking birth control in order to control your periods.

You asked about your second delivery? Yes you can have it vaginally, if the doctor thinks you can that is. Most women are able to have a vaginal birth after a c-section. But I wouldn't worry about that yet, you have a newborn on your hands!

Actually most doctors are trying to avoid VBACs (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean) due to the high risk of uterine rupture. Only the very high risk OB will allow a VBAC. These days it's considered "once a C-Section always a C-Section."

Now, before those of you who have had VBACs jump in, I said most, not all, doctors do not allow this any longer. I have participated in a couple of VBACs, but they were not by choice. The patient came in laboring and was too far gone to get the OR ready for a section.

To the OP, it is going to take up to a year, possibly, for your periods to get back to normal.

Are you breastfeeding? This may be a cause of your irregular bleeding as well.

Have you talked with your doctor about this? If not, it may be a good thing to make a doctor's appointment and discuss this with him/her.
