I would like assistance with a conception date if possible. I had sexual intercourse on 24 march 2012. My period then started on 25 march 2012 and I had a normal 4 day period / spotting at the end.
On 4 April I had an ultrasound ovarian scan and had not yet ovulated though the dominant follicle was visible (scan was to rule out cysts).
Between 8 April and 10 April 2012 I had unprotected sex and have since found out I am pregnant. I have had several scans because of bleeding and the dates and measurements are as follows -
8 may, 6 weeks 2 days, measure 6 mm.
21 may 8 weeks 2 days 17mm CRL.
31 may 9 weeks 6 days 30.1 mm. 7
June 10 weeks 2 days 34mm,
13 June 11 weeks 4 days, 49 mm.
24 June 13 weeks , 69mm
I have been given a due date of 29 / 30 December.
Is there any chance I could have got pregnant from sex on 24 march? Thanks for your help with this.

Everything you have noted above seems to add up perfectly by my calculations using the gestational wheel the doctor uses. With these calculations it appears that you had your LMP on 3/25 and conceived on or around 4/8 or 4/9.

I gather if I had conceived on 24th march (or five days following for usual sperm life) my ultrasund dates would be different or CRL sizes different?

My worries come from reading about so called 'super sperm' that can live for 2 weeks although I assumed this was under perfect lab conditions and not through a period etc... the internet can be a worrying thing (as can answers like mr wine expert above)

I know that I def did not ovulate until after 4 April due to my ovary U/S and so there is little likelihood of sperm hanging about in my tubes until my egg was released? Paranoid I suppose and scared.

You did not get pregnant on March 24. Super sperm? I'm sure that is under the right laboratory conditions.

Is there a reason it makes a difference ?
