Can a wireless headset cause headaches
I have had wired headsets and they have never caused headaches before. I bought the turtle beach px5 wireless headset and it gave me an awful earache even when the sound wasn't very loud. I returned those and decided to try a different brand and get the astros, I want the wireless but I'm not sure if the ear ache was caused by the turtle beach headset being to tight on my ears or if it was because of being wireless.

Could be something as simple as badly fitting earphones or too tight.
You may need to try a number of brands for a good fit.
