    Please recommend a router
    Hi folks,

I am looking to replace my existing router, which is a D-Link DIR-615. This one had replaced a WBR-2310. The 615 worked good for a number of months but lately I seem to have to unplug and plug back in the power cable all the time. And when I say all the time, I mean I sometimes have to do it multiples times an hour just to keep a good connection.

I'm wondering if the D-Link DIR-655 is a good alternative. Does anyone have experience with it? I've read reviews online and most are very positive and I've generally been happy with DLink products.

I will say that the router is located in the basement which I realize is not an ideal spot, but my options are quite limited due to cable length and available connections spots. I'm working on moving it, but need to do the figuring on how to make that work. In the meantime I'm looking for any feedback on a suggested improvement.

I thought about updating my drivers on my laptop, which I'm going to do regardless once I'm done work, but the wi-fi is suspect for the laptop, iPod touch, Nintendo DSi, PS3 and Wii... so I'm pretty sure it's an issue with the router. Just not sure if it's software/hardware or location.
