I have LIMITED connectivity all of a sudden?
    HELP!!

I have an Advent 5611 laptop, running on Vista and a BT HomeHub (which my desktop PC is connected to). Before this I could connect to the internet via a wireless connection with no problems at all and now all of a sudden it's telling me I have limited connectivity!

I have tried all of the troubleshooting and still it does not connect. My desktop PC is connected fone with no problems and my router says it is connected, but my laptop isn't and won't!

I have looked at the map of the network and it shows my laptop, then an "unidentified network" and then the BT HomeHub.

I don't really know a great deal about all of this (as you can probably tell by my explanation), so after all the basic troubleshooting I now have NO idea what to do and it's EXTREMELY frustrating!

Any help would be very much appreciated!

    Thanks :)

"Limited" connectivity means that your computer knows that a network connection is available but no communications can be made.

Try removing all of your wireless security and then connect to your wireless. Then establish your wireless security again. Do not use WEP. It is not a reliable and secure as the personal PKI.

Windows Vista supports two versions of IP addresses. IP v.4 & IP V.6

It might be because of IP v.6

Click on Start -> Type "RUN" -> Hit Enter -> Type "ncpa.cpl" -> Hit Enter -> Right Click on your wireless connection and select status.

It should look like this :

If limited connectivity is only in front of IP v.6 then its okay no need to worry.

    Hope this will help you
