    Win 7 bootup time
When I installed win 7 32 bits ultimate after restarting my PC it took about 3 minutes after the bios logo appeared... the screen was blank.. hard disk light was also off.. after those 3 minutes windows started loading.. this happened at every restart..
I want to know is this because I have an IDE hard disk..
    Had XP before..
I had a 80 gb segate IDE an on that it took the same time as well so I think it is the IDE hard disk problem.. Just want to know if someone is using IDE hard disk and does not have this problem..

I have a p4 3.2ghz and 1 gb DDR2 Ram.120gb segate IDE hard disk.. D945GTP motherboard.. radeon HD4350 graphics card.. Its an Rm system desktop..

Could well be related to the overall data transfer speeds of your system.
Admittedly I don't run Win7 on anything less than SATA, but if you had a similar issue with XP this is most likely the cause.

Have you ever done a BIOS update on this system and are the settings optimal for the hardware ?

Never had this problem on XP.. it loaded instantly..
And no I have never ever updated my bios..
And when I had win 7 I had reverted to my default bios setting to check if that had anything to do,but it din't change anything..

And I'm not talking about win7 loading but the blank screen which appears after the OEM logo and before win loading screen.. that is the problem not win 7 boot time..
