    Suspended terminal on multipoint server
I teach in a classroom with 13 stations all connected using Windows MultiPoint Server 2011. After inserting a flash drive into one workstation, copying a file and removing the flash drive, they all went blank, then all returned to whatever screen they were on except for the one workstation.

The MultiPoint Manager showed the station status as SUSPENDED. I proceeded to log off the station from the server, and expected the LOG ON screen to return and the user could sign back on to the workstation. Instead, the workstation displayed a "No Input Signal" message.

I checked all the cables, reseated and unplugged them, turned the power on and off the workstation, and both rebooted the system as well as powering down the system completely to let it cool down, and then powering up the system.

It may be a hardware problem, but pretty coincidental that it would happen at this particular moment.

Any other ideas? Working for a nonprofit, we try to exhaust thoroughly all other avenues before spending $$ on bringing in outside help.

    Thanks!

If you are using a ethernet cable then try replacing it. Its possible that when the flashdrive was plugged into the usb the computer moved and the cable went sour.

Yes, a bad cable caused the issue. I now have another terminal which is "misbehaving" in a similar manner. I am afraid I need a new VGA card(?) in that one since the cable is NOT the issue, and will get the card replaced and see if that puts that terminal back in circulation. Thanks, cdad, for your suggestions.
