Stuck in setup mode windows xp pro
I have a gateway laptop that has a windows xp home from factory.a friend tried to install xp pro over the home edtion.but cannot complete activation because don't know the product key.iv tried to get bak to the home edition but cant.so I'm stuck in a uncomplete version of xp pro.heres my issues:
Black screen with safemode in the corners in all safe mode restarts.no access to any area only black screen or light blue screen that says setup is restarting then will go to blank screen with curser |

My Dell Inspiron with Vista OEM is stuck in an update loop. It will POST, start booting into Windows, and say it's updating stage 3 of 3 0% compleate. After about 30-60 seconds, it will restart. It won't boot in safe mode either. I did a system restore in the recovery menu too a day or two back....
