    Start-up options.
I could call Gateway and get on hold for 30 minutes, or ask here. Somehow, all the checkmarks got deleted in my start-up menu. Are there some that absolutely positively have to have checkmarks? I have Windows XP

Depends on what items are there, these items in startup are related to programs installed on PC.

Could you post a list of what you have in the startup menu and could possibly give you a better idea of what you may want to have checked

I did a screen capture of my start-up menu showing what has checks, and what doesn't. Some have added themselves recently, like the cordless keyboard and cordless laser mouse I just installed. I could e-mail a jpeg image of my start-up menu. I assume I can't upload an image to this forum.

If you could, just type out the name of the Startup Item, you do not need to type out the whole line with location and all - just first column
