    The recovery console path or file specified is not valid
    I am trying to run the recovery console for XP. When I select that option is gives me a message that the path or file specified is not valid and then has c:\>

    Does this mean that my hard drive is completely inaccessible?

    I have the same problem and any advice would be much appreciated. I have the "unmountable_boot_volume" and can not fix the problem in recovery console due to this same issue.
