    Game isn't running right
    I recently purchased Grand Theft Auto 4 and the game lags a bit when I am playing or when a lot is going on. My computer should be handling this with ease at the maximum settings. (which it is not at).

    My computer specs are:

    Dell studio xps intel core i7 2.8 ghz
    Windows 7
    8 gigs ram
    1 TB of memory
    video card: 1gig ATI Radeon HD 5700 series.

    Any idea what I can do or change to make this lag stop? There is no reason why this should be happening. I have read a lot of people don't like this game. Wasn't it transferred poorly to the PC?

    From your specs I assume you are running Win7 64 bit edition, I would hope so.
    Have you tried running the game in compatibility mode to a 32 bit OS ?

    Yes, I am running win7 4 bit edition.
    I haven't tried running it like that but I will give it a shot.
    I read a bit online and a lot of threads say that it was poorly designed. But I will try your idea. Thank you
