    question relating to probability
    Hi all,

    I got a question relating to Probability. I will be thankful to you if I could get a suitable answer along with illustration for this.

    Question is : There is Tournment with 50 teams. A Team that lost for 3 matches has to quit the tournment. What would be the Least No of matches that can be played during the tournment.

    Umm, we don't do homework assignments. If you want to post what you think the solution is, then we may be able to confirm or help you you arive at the correct solution. But we won't do the work for you.

    BTW this isn't a probability question. Looks more like an algebraic calculation.

    Team 1 plays 3 games against Team 2, beats them 3-0, Team 2 is eliminated. Then Team 1 plays against Team 3, etc.

    49 teams total play Team 1.

    49 x 3 = 147 games
