    Reinstalling Winxp home and it downloads all the drivers then hangs up at setup
    I bought a new hd for my toshiba satellite m55-s135 and Itboots up to the windows cd loads all the drivers then when it gets to the screen>SETUP IS STARTING WINDOWS It just stays on that screen I even swapped out the memory and installed new memory. I even tried another winXP Cd. Could someone please help me Ive tried everything. Thanks for your help.

    Sounds long shot but try re-seating your processor ! Handle it with extreme care though & mind your surface...

    Sorry didn't catch the satellite part ! Try take out the drive & external it somewhere in order to format it,don't quick format it though !
