        Far Cry Error Message

I installed and updated the game Far Cry, but this Error keeps coming up: "Please insert the correct CD-Rom, select OK and restart application "I have unticked the Emulation programs that I can think of. ( Alcohol, and uninstalled Ghost9 and Clone DVD2 ). Nothing works, put in CD, click Icon and up comes Error.
Has anybody got an answer to this pest.

Is it the right CD? For example, you might have disk 1 in the drive but it wants disk 2. If Far Cry has more than one disk that is.
Have you tried reinstalling the game?

You could always try a no-cd patch. Try looking on http://www.megagames.com (not illegal if you own the game I believe).

Depending on if you have the CD or DVD copy - You have to make sure your CD/DVD drive is compatible with the SafeDisc 3.2 copy protection scheme. I know some drives have had trouble with it, and not just in Far Cry.
The no-cd patch is just easier to deal with... and saves your install CD from wear.

Thank you for the suggestions. My Pioneer 108 and 110D are apparently not supported and I tried the NO-CD, no joy, unless I did not do it properly. Thank's anyway.
