Quick question - what do you want to have multiboot options for? A version or 98 & a version of ME or were you thinking of running 98/ME alongside another operating system like XP?

Normally it's a case of partitioning your hard drive to create a partition for both operating systems then installing the operating systems one by one. The trouble is that sometimes it's best to install them in a certain order. For example, when dual booting Windows XP and another operating system you should always do Win XP first as otherwise the setup overwrites your boot.ini, losing the details of the other OS

I don't think 98 & ME can dual boot at all.

I know that 95 & 98 certainly cannot dual boot together and as ME uses the same kind of architecture as these two, I assume the same is the case.

    Hi,
In support of 98 and ME not being able to dual boot at all, here is a site with more explanations:

Hmm Fred's link doesn't seem to go anywhere after the first page.

I believe it is possible to dual boot 98 and ME, but you would need a 3rd party too like System Commander, widely regarded as the best dual boot manager. See http://www.v-com.com/product/System_Commander_Home.html.

But frankly I don't understand why one would want to. There is very little value in Win Me to go through the hops necessary to dual boot it.
