Games
My computer at my job has a block on games and music sites. But I could find only one site I could play games on. It's called 2000greetings.com. Are there any other sites like this one?

Best thing to do, is not do it at all... I mean, you wouldn't want to loose your job, because you were playing free online games.. they are blocked for a reason... and I know they keep a check on what sites you all are going to.

Games at work
Hi,
While you are playing games at work, at the expense of your company, your company is "playing games" with you!
They know where you are going, where you have been, what time of day, what day, etc, etc,.
It won't be long before the Administrator notices your travels on the net.
However, you can search http:// www.google.com, type in games, then click on Search.
There will be many links to check out.
Best wishes,
fredg
PS; Again, if you have time to play games at work, it won't take your company long to discover you don't have enough to do!!

This is a situation where its important to add answers even when already adequately answered. Briggs and Ffed gave you excellent advice that I hope you listen to. Your company owns your computer and probably has a stated policy of what it can be used for. Ignoring that policy can and will result in termination of employment.
Its very easy for your company to monitor where their employees are surfing to enforce this policy.

I would think that depends on the job. For example; a software games tester would be required to have fun. Many companies emphasize trying to have fun with your job as a way of getting happier and more productive employees.
I have fun doing this (helping on Q&A sites) and I do some of it during work hours. Its okay with my company because it helps keep my knowledge up and hone my diagnostic and problem solving skills. It provides me with a change of pace if I need to step away from some task I'm involved in.
But my company is aware of my activiites. The point is that doing something that violates company policy can get you fired.

Well, your responses didn't help me find any websites with games but it did make me think a little. See I'm a CSR at a mental health facility and a lot of the clinical specialist here were playing on the computer and not getting their jobs done, so that's why they have the filter on there. My boss knows there are times that I absolutely have nothing to do so I don't think he would mind if I played a little bit. But if you guys think I'll get fired, I guess I better listen to the EXPERTS!!!! :o :o :o

Well, I'd ask them about it, as for games, search for flash games. Bunch out there using flash.

The key there is you "don't think" your boss will mind. This is not an area where you want to "think" about your boss's reaction. You want to make sure of it. Go to your boss and explain the situation. I know there are many jobs where a body is just needed on duty but activity is nil so the body is largely idle. If your boss won't mind if you occupy your idle time, then he might talk to your IT department and see if there is a way to allow your ID around the blocks. But youy don't want to be going behind your boss's backs to do it.
