    Logged in as an administrator
My computer won't allow me to do some things as it says I am not an administrator, when I am! It is my computer and I have checked my user account details and it says I am the administrator but I am still told I do not have the correct privileges to change most setting! I do not understand why this is! I have tried system restor and all sorts of other things and it won't let me do anything!
    Please can someone help me?

Before you try anything else, first boot your computer in SAFE MODE and see if your privileges to change the things you are trying to change return.

While in SAFE MODE, create another account and give it ADMIN authority. Try using that new account to do what you want.

    Any luck?

Thanks for replying but when I go in safe mode and try and do anything it just tells me there is a link missing for the application and it cannot be run. This all happened after I installed windows xp sp2!

I have this problem with my skin rubbing off. When I get out of the shower, it is the worst. If I gently rub my hand over my skin on my upper back the skin rubs off and I am left with little rolled up logs of skin on my hand and under my nails. My skin is healthy and I experience no other side...

Still logged onto a site even though cookies and cache cleared [ 7 Answers ]

Quite odd. I cleared my cookies and cache in IE 6.0 - but when I go here it shows me logged in. So does that mean this site has some special sort of "always stay logged in" functionality?
