How to install windows 7 64bit on 32bit?
I have a laptop which is now on windows enterprise 32bit. I want to install windows 7 home premium 64bit on it because windows enterprise is for my school work and it is not suitable for gaming. So I was thinking of dual boot. But I am not very sure how, I have Google around for answers but I am not sure if it will work and I don't want to lose all of my school data. So any solutions for me?

Does the system support 64 bit OS ?
Enterprise versions DO support games, so it's really not clear what you are attempting here.
There very little to be gained having separate versions of the same OS installed on one machine.
Is this machine actually YOUR property ?

The laptop is my property. It's just that the school configure it. 32bit OS can only use around 2 to 3gb ram. As a gamer, is 2 to 3gb ram enough? For me, it's a no. Why do I want to use a 64bit operating system? Because my laptop has 8gb ram, and now it can only use 2 to 3gb ram. I do not want my money to go down the drain. So I want to run two OS in one computer, one for gaming purposes, one for school purposes. And just to let you know, when I first bought my laptop, it is on 64bit. But the school configure it to 32bit.(I don't know if this would help) For your info, some of my school programs can only run on 32bit, that's why I am seeking for two different OS on my laptop. I hope that helps you more. Thank you very much.

ALL 32 bit applications can run in a 64 bit environment.
Some need assistance with compatibility options, but easily tweaked.
So best course of action would be to back up all your school data and rebuild to 64 bit.
