How do I switch from MS-DOS to WIN '98
    Hello:

I recently chose MS-DOS option when starting my IBM laptop (has Windows '98), and do not seem to be able to go back to Windows 98 view?

Each time I turn my laptop on, I keep getting the c:/windows/ line, and I have no idea what I need to type in?

    Please help! Thanks a bunch!

    An idea
    Try typing win

If that doesn't work, try exit

If neither of these work, reply and please tell what steps you took to get it to boot to dos...

    Hope this helps...

Since you're already in DOS why not try to restore it. Your PC is at dos mode (C:/windows ) Now type
Cd command you should be at
    C:/windows \command
    Now type
Scanreg /restore (a space after the word scanreg)
A blue screen should come up with dates.
If there is a date in there that your computer worked, then highlight that date and click
    Restore
Hope this gets you back in business , Tom
