    Floppy repair software
    Hi folks,

    I am having frequent problems with my floppy drive as it is not reading most of the floppies. It will read only very good floppies such as monitor installation disks or floppies from top brands only.
    What I need is ,

    where can i download free software for repairing bad/damaged floppies

    A floppy disk drive cleaning kit might help?? however floppy disk drives are so cheap, thather than spending £3 on the kit go out and buy a new floppy drive.

    We all assume that the source PC that wrote the floppies initially are OK and were in alignment to start of with.

    If that does not work, then you have probably stored the disk wrongly, next to a heat source or magnet etc.

    My guess is it's not the drive but the floppies themselves. If it reads some and not the others, then it's the others that need to be replaced.

    I suppose I should have also said try the floppies out on another computer as this will make the solving of the problem easy.
