What advice does your gym professional offer? Perhaps you can discuss your goals and routine with someone there?

I really believe you need breakfast before you work out

During day try to snack on fruits and vegtables

Also drink water instead of pop and juices

Eat and exercise -- exercise aids digestion

Part of your problem might be that you're not eating before your workout. You should have have a small breakfast in the morning and, aside from a moderate lunch and dinner, try to eat several light snacks throughout the day.

When you don't eat for long periods, you're body will go into a "starvation mode" and your metabolism will likely slow down. By eating several small portions throughout the day, you'll keep your body's metabolism in high gear. I changed my eating habits last year and lost about 25 pounds without starving myself.

Also, along with your cardio exercises, I would try lifting some weights. This will build muscle which should also increase your metabolism.

    Hope this helps...

I started using weights in the gym in August and have stuck to a very healthy diet and have lost 3 half stone and feel great. I could mail you a copy of my diet sheet if that would help. Eating little but often keeps your metabolic rate high increasing the chances of you losing weight. I eat 6 times a day and I am still losing weight slowly but surely.

I'm not a doctor but it sounds like you're on the right track. Small meals throughout the day seems to work for most people that are trying to lose weight. Lifting weights will help burm calories and tone you up as well.

Best of luck to you... :-)
