How Can I Use Visual Basic to get the type of item where the user has clicked on?
I would like to get full information about the current item where user has clicked on outside my application. For example, a Quick Lunch icon, a desktop shortcut or file, a Start Menu item, a file or folder in Windows explorer, a file or folder in another explorer...

Vb6, VBA, VBscript, or API code, are welcome
