    Child seeing bright
    My son who is 7 has been taking longer blinks than usual for about a month now and it turned into sort of a head movement with it. I asked him today if his eyes were hurting he said no, then I said does anything around your eyes hurt and he said no but he did say that sometimes it gets really bright(mostly when watching TV or looking at lights) and that's why he does that. I notice that he does it no matter what he's looking at. I have an appt with an eye specialist but am so worried I'm trying to find out anything I can. Anyone have any ideas?

    I say to see what the Ophthalmologist says. That's a little more in depth than anything I can tell you for sure.

    Well I'm not sure if I got the same thing but I have something (cant think of name at the moment sorry) where lights appear brighter than they are suppose to be. So on sunny days I'm literally blinded by the light and have to be very careful about where I step because I can barely see anything at all. I think its called instigmatism or something like that? I was simply prescribed sun glasses but there is no need, there aren't that many totally sunny days and totally bright rooms.

    If you are thinking astigmatism, then no, that has nothing to do with it. It really could just be that this child is light sensitive...
