Uninstall log and download accelerator questions
I have 2 questions, as follows: I have a Web Accelerator provided by my ISP. It does nothing in the way of speeding up downloads. Is there a good download accelerator which can work in conjunction with the Web Accelerator?
    2. Whenever I try to uninstall a program, I get an error message as follows:Cannot open UNINSTALL.LOG file. How do I fix this because I am now stuck with programs I do not want.
Thanks for the help and Happy New Year to all!

Regardless of using their accelerator or another one, you can only download at the maximum speed that your ISP provides you

When you install a program, most programs will create an UNINSTALL.LOG file in the folder you installed the program to or another loaction it knows where it installed to

-if it can not find one, that basically means that it is searching for this file in the location that it was supposed to be put when program was installed and if it cannot find it, it was more than likely deleted

There are some programs that search for .log files and deletes them if chosen to by the user
-so if you use a prgram to clear out useless files, these log files may have been included

Anyway, if you want to get rid of the programs and the uninstaller will not let you do it - You can do the following

-delete the folder and shortcuts of the program you want to get rid of

    Download and install ccleaner -

    ccleaner (Freeware)
    Download CCleaner 2.15.815 - FileHippo.com
On the right hand side, click download latest version

Now you should be OK with the program you manually deleted
