    What wrong with this engine
    I have a 16 hp briggs/statton.
    Model 401707
    Type 013401
    Code 8002212
    Engine timing seem advanced throttle up is slow and backfires through the carb. How do i set timing besides a new flywheel

    Replace the broken woodruff key that indexes the flywheel to the crankshaft...

    And turn your caps lock key off.
