    Toro push mower will start for 2 seconds and just shut off
    My toro push mower is having trouble starting and staying started, ill pull the cord and then it will start for 2 to maybe 3 seconds and just turn off.

    NEED HELP

    Hi,
    Well, it is obviously a fuel problem. I gather that you probably have a Briggs 12 cu. in. with primer. It runs the primed fuel out and then dies. This means one or both of two things. One is trash in the carb and the other is water-contaminated fuel. I would try removing the float bowl and jet assmbly. You can check both that way. If something runs out that beads, you have water. Otherwise you have the jet out and can clean it.
