John Deere Manual or PTO help
Handyman, fix or build anything but this has me stumped.
Second hand machine, I don't have a model # as the cowling is gone. I found a serial #C312G 080978M. Do you know if the model # is somewhere else on the machine? I got these numbers off a plate on the front below the controls. I am having problems with the PTO not disengaging. Runs great otherwise.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Actually you have the model number (thanks for the numbers) and it is a 312. A fine machine with stout drive and a 12 HP Kohler K321.
Suspect the wire that grounds the ignition or the switch.
    Peace,
    Clarke

Thanks so much for your speedy reply. Really appreciate it. I suspected that one of the numbers might be a model didn't get anywhere on the JD site.
    Thanks again,
    Roland
