John Deere L110 transmission lock up?
I have a John Deere L110 lawn tractor (42 deck) that will not go in reverse or forward. I checked the belt and it is worn so I will replace it but the real problem is that the linkage will not engage the unit when I try to move it forward or back. It just won't budge when deploying the clutch

Hi,Well, the first thing to check is the belt; worn, bad idlers or fallen off the trans pulley.I would guess bad idler because there were an inordinate number of those in that model.Picture attached.Peace,Clarke
