We changed the drive belt and ended up with two washers.we have no idea where they go. We tried without the washers and the belt keeps coming off. Hi, I just replaced the drive belt on my Lt166 John Deere. When I start it up, and release pedal, the belt holds. But when I push the pedal back in, the belt jumps off. Any idea what I am doing wrong?

The starter died on my LT166 tractor. I'm trying to get it out but cannot access the two bolts that attach it to the motor. I got one out, but the other is behind the starter and I can't get at it. Do I have to remove the flywheel? Is there some special tool that I need?
