    Craftsman riding mower deck belt model 917257630 keeps coming off
    Belt is loose when installed and comes off soon as I try and start the mower are they a way to tighten up this belt

    Hi,
    Normally they are loose when disengaged(that is how they disengage.) You should check that all guides are correctly positioned(I believe that left hand spindle cover may be a guide also.) Link to manual and look at page 20:
