    How do you start a Lawnflite 603 mower
    Hi I have a client that has inheritted a Lawnflite 603 mower but has no manual. We can get the engine to spin but can't get it to start. Has anybosy any ideas?

    Getting fuel to carb? Spark? Clean air filter? Need to check these first

    Hi, We have replaced the spark plug and the filter is clean. Not sure how to check that fuel is getting to the carb. Is there some sort of settings for each of the many levers before this beast will start?

    The easiest thing to do is put fuel in the tank, squirt some fuel in the plug hole, close it up and try to crank it. Should be a choke lever, close to start, gas lever, 1/2 open or "start". Does it get spark? Did you clean the carb bowl out? Common to have a stuck float or clogged main jet or stuck needle valve after sitting for a long time.
