I was cutting the grass when the mower just took off like it switched to a higher gear by itself I tried to engage the clutch/brake but it did not help I tried to switch to a lower gear but that did not work either I had to turn the key off to get it to stop did something come loose on the trans or what? Any ideas? Thanks Don

Have to answer my own question ,I went online and found the parts manul to my rider.Went to yard machines web site put in the model# and pulled it up.Anyway while I was looking around on my rider I found a rod that was not connected ,but it looked like it went to the mower deck so I just blew it off.But when I looked at the manual I saw that it actually was connected to the clutck pedal,and also connected to the trans.Seemes a cotter pin broke and allowed this rod to slip down and caused the rider to slip out of gear and ran at a higher gear,thus no clutch or brake to stop it. Hope this helps someone in the future,also don't be afraid to look up your riders on line with the owners/parts manual. It kind of puts a picture to what people are saying.I like this web site a lot, people seem to know what's going on,and you get different ideas Thanks Don
