    Oil in spark plugs
    Hello,

I have a riding mower that, when started would run a few minutes and shut down. I read the manual and it said possibly stale fuel and tune up. I changed the gas, tuned it up, cleaned the carb. When I started it same thing happened, but a big cloud of white smoke came out of the muffler. I checked everything again. But noticed that the brand new spark plugs had oil on them, This does not seem normal. Should I send the mower to the graveyard or is there something I can do to fix this problem.

    Thanks Tracy

Just a suggestion: Have the motor overhauled. It apparently needs rings. The oil is probably seeping up into the head. That would cause the puff of smoke.

Nakieta, before having a small engine rebuilt, check on the price of a "short block". You will have much longer lasting effects than that of a rebuilt engine usually. And don't forget you can purchase a whole new rider from walmart for about $800 to $900. Without taxes of course.
