    17 HP Sears lawn tractor, Briggs and Stratton
    Not sure where to locate the Clutch Switch... I think this is my problem to starting the lawn tractor. Tractor Model # 917.270711.

    And follow the sears links. There you will find parts list and diagrams.

    Follow the clutch / brake lever rod back and you will see a contact point (flange) where it will make contact with a grey or grey and black box about 1/2" WIDE, 1 3/4" long , and 1" thick. This is your safety switch.
