    Ridder will not start of switch
    Have a husky ridder with a 12hp briggs won't start of switch I can jump solenoid and it runs. How do you check the solenoid one side had power and when you turn switch the other side dose not light up and send power to starter. Brake pedal the safety switch is working the blade switch safety is working I too the seat switch off and squeezed it together with a vice grip still now power how do you check the seat switch and how do you check the solenoid>? Thanks

    Hi,
    Well, you say you can jump it, correct. To test a solenoid, take a decent sized wire and go from the battery side of the solenoid to the small post on the solenoid that has a red(usually) wire. If that triggers the solenoid, it is in the harness somewhere. If there is a second small post on the solenoid with a black wire, it is a ground and could run through safety switches to provide a circuit(rare on these particular machines.) If the solenoid does not trigger and has a ground, replace it.
