Replacing traction belt on toro 57360 with manual
1980 11hp 32" cut riding mower. Found a surprise when attempting to follow instructions.
Removed blade clutch mount bolt and the cutter blade assembly is supposed to drop off the engine crank to enable belt removal. No! There is a thing called the Clutch actuator, which is used by the engagement/disengagement lever, to allow the blade to turn or not turn.
This keeps the "cutter blade clutch assembly" from dropping off the crankshaft, and the belt cannot be removed. From what I can see, I must remove two bolts and nuts that hold the clutch actuator in place, and then remove the whole thing.
If I am right, then will the blade clutch assembly stay together?
I have a picture if required. The manual I am using is Toro Operator's Manual, Model 57300 and 57360 and UP. 8 & 11 hp front engine rider.
    Thanks.

Determined that the "clutch actuator" was stuck. Once I got that part removed, was able to remove and replace the traction belt. No documentation discussed that the mechanism might stick.
