I ran a briggs and stratton motor dry and now won't start
The oil in my Briggs engine (Intek 15.0) was just changed after the last use so I did not check it before starting it yesterday. I wish I had because it ran DRY! I topped it off but it will not start now - it turns over but never catches. Am I due for a new engine? Can this one be repaired? It has only about 400 hours on it and I changed the oil and filter every 40 hours or so. I can't really afford to buy another motor and really hope I can fix this. Thank you.

I would try starting fluid or a little gas in plug hole, A heaping teaspoon of Gas.

I somehow managed to run out of oil on the power washer... it was smoking & had a bad smell. Put oil in, & now won't start... it will turn over, but not catch. Probably ran without oil for about 10-25 minutes.
