    Murray Riding Mower- Wiring problem
I loaned a Murray 38", 12.5HP Rider. Went to get it and nothing. Someone had replaced the solenoid. The red wire with the fuse was burned off and fuse blown. There is also a black wire from the ignition hanging down. I wired it back up but keeps blowing fuse. Where doesmthe black wire connect? I hooked the red wire to the battery side of solenoid. Is this correct?

Black wires are usually some type of ground , and yes the red wire should be on the solenoid,
If its blowing fuses there's a wire hooked up wrong somewhere.a hot to ground or a ground to hot.
Also could be key switch bad.
