    Murray Riding Mower
I have a murray riding mower that I purchased in August of 1991. Apparently I need a new transaxle because it will not go in gear at all. The part # in the book is Dana model 4450-1 which I have been unable to locate, the only reference I have come across for the part says that it has been replaced by FOT-4450-3. I cannot locate either of these. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I might find a used transaxle? Naturally I don't want to spend a fortune on a mower this old.

    Thanks!

Have a small engine shop around you? They can either locate a new one, or used.. should be many used ones out there... (kinda like my local... they have many murrays sitting outside.. trans and engine go first)
