MTD Deck does not go disengage properly
I have a 2003 MTD Gold Yard Machine. I got it from my brother about 7 years ago and it has given me almost no trouble. Last years I reomed the deck to replace a bearing assemble and now the deck does not retract all the way. The belt is staying tight and the blade brakes are not touching. What did I do wrong or is there somryhing else messed up?

    Hi,
You did not get the deck mounted back in the correct holes/way. Give the numbers from under the seat for me to look up the model, or go to the manual archive yourself at:
    PDF Manual Web Archive
And use 1 as the serial number.
    Peace,
    Clarke
PS Most all manuals have deck mounting instructions.
