Mower will not run when under load.
My husband bent the blade on our push mower last summer. He changed out the blade and used the mower a couple of times after that. The next time he tried to use it, it started but died as soon as he started cutting the grass. He restarted it and the same thing happened. At this point we are not sure where to start. Since we live in a rural area it is difficult to find a good small engine repair shop and he would prefer to fix it himself if possible. Any advice would be most appreciated.

If its an old mower, looks like your engine is starting to loose its power. Take the carburetor apart, spray some carburetor all over the inside of it, bush any junk out with a toothbrush and use any source of compressed air into the holes. That should put your mower back in business.

Thanks for the suggestion. He has given up on the mower and decided to take it to a small engine repair shop a friend recommended.
