Mower deck blades do not disengage
I have a Sears 16.5 HP LT. The blades stay engaged even after I disengage them with the engage/disengage handle.
I have to turn the engine off to completely disengage them. When I start the mower again the blades are disengaged. Is there some type of adjustment for this ?

I have a mid 90's MTD (Lowes label) that I bought on Craig's List. It runs fine, but just started acting strange. When I pull the handle (the one that lowers the deck) back, the blades are supposed to stop, but mine doesn't. They do slow down, but not too much. Any ideas?
