    Hi,
Wizard is a brand of Western Auto. They never made their outdoor power equipment and had most of it made by MTD. You have a walking tractor and it was made by someone else. Brands that come to mind are David Bradley, Simplicity, Gravely and Choremaster. Others exist as well. A good place to start might be:
    The Vintage Garden Tractor Page
If you can find the engine brand and model number info, it could help greatly since that will narrow the search A search of "antique" or "vintage" walking tractor good yield results as well.
I did find one manual at:
Wizard tractor manual (1954?) - Garden Tractor Talk - Garden Tractor Forums
It is not the exact manual and you must set up a free account. The model number ends in 5840 and it says It Is a Bolens "clone" which axtually means they probably made it for Western Auto.
    Peace,
    Clarke

    Hi,
After some more investigation, I tend to believe that the Wizard walking tractors were produced by Bolens. It is now part of MTD and I have no personal knowledge whether they are in possession of manuals for them (they have a surprising archive that is not available online) or not.
There is another source, or maybe more. There are a number of sites that focus on antique or vintage garden tractors. I do have memberships on many since I have restored some for others at times. I specialize in the mechanical aspects only, no cosmetics like new paint or decals, or seats, etc. One person I did one for was even disappointed that I only cleaned the original seat even though the vinyl was in great shape and I explained that the machine was worth more with the original.
At any rate a number of sites exist on Yahoo in one of the Groups that are available. I think you must sign up for an account (it's free) and you can link it to other email accounts. My point is that one small membership group is the Bolens Walking Tractor group which has some info there in the Files section of it. You have to sign up for it separately and wait a day or two to be admitted, but it may well be worth your time to do this, and it may be worth your time to contact MTD Customer Service about possible archived manuals. I do know they can be hard if not impossible to come by.
    Peace,
    Clarke
