    Well you remove the part of the head that holds the line. Measure out about 15 feet of line, then hold the two ends and pull one end to where it is about 4 inches longer than the other. Some spools have a knotch, some have holes, feed both ends through the holes, or hook the far end loop on the knotch and begin winding in the direction indicated on the spool. And at the end, place the two ends into the knotches on the top edge of the spool and feed them through the holes on the trimmer head. Then tighten the spool assembly and go to work.
